How to replace a damaged/lost/stolen gift card?

Damaged gift cards

Damaged gift cards can be replaced at no cost. Simply contact our Support team on 1300 764 721 or via email support@waivpay.com 

Damaged cards including but not limited to;

  • Magnetic strip scratched or not readable.
  • Card ID or pin number not printed on the gift card.

Lost or stolen gift cards

The Customer will need to provide proof of purchase in order the have their lost or stolen gift card replaced. There is a $10 replacement fee - please contact the WAIVPAY Support team on 1300 764 721 or support@waivpay.com

  1. The Customer will need to provide proof of purchase (transaction or GiVVPOS receipt). If happens to have lost their receipt, then a copy of the bank statement or transaction history showing amounts, dates, and description so we are able to isolate the transaction.
  2. There is a $10.00 replacement fee which covers the administration fee of transferring the funds onto a new gift card, the plastic itself, and banking fees.  This payment is to be taken via phone with one of our customer service representatives.
  3. Once we have processed the replacement fee via credit card, we can replace the gift card with the gift card stock at the Customer Service Desk. We will request from you the Card ID at the back of the card so we can transfer the funds onto the new gift card.
  4. Once confirmed by our Customer Service Representative you will write the issue date and the value of the card on the blank panels at the back of the card. 

Note: The issue date to be written on the replacement card is the date when the gift card was initially purchased and the value will be the balance left at the time of replacing the gift card.

We can put a "restricted" status on the lost gift card to avoid someone using it while it is being replaced, however, it is the gift card holder's responsibility to keep the gift card safe. The funds used after losing or misplacing the gift card cannot be re-instated or re-funded.
